The Okatsune 307 spruce is very light and sharp, with a short blade (1 cm shorter than the 304). This spruce has been specially designed for cutting tougher stems than cuttings, fruit stems and plants. The sharp, extremely thin blades (2.3 mm) enable it to reach stems even in tight spaces, such as the size of bunches of grapes, pears and apples. The Okatsune spruce is undoubtedly Japan's number 1.

Features:

- Razor-sharp for a consistently clean cut;

- Simple design for optimum ease of use;

- Ultra-light and particularly robust.

The blades of this Japanese spruce (Mekri Basami) are forged from Izumo Yasugi steel and have a very high hardness of 59-60 on the Rockwell scale. As a result, the blades stay sharp longer and always give a precise, effortless cut through the wood. What's more, Okatsune combines hardness with special flexibility, so the blade is always aligned with the counter-blade and won't break.

The blade is sharpened at two angles, so cutting will be smooth through the wood and won't unnecessarily damage the plant. The blade's unique hollow base allows sap to flow through, and the blades don't spread. The V-shape of the spring distributes the force evenly over the entire length of the spring, guaranteeing smooth closing.

Maintenance

Spinners are made with components that require a little maintenance. We recommend cleaning the blades after use and oiling them from time to time. Store blades closed, away from moisture. If you notice that the blades are cutting less well, you can sharpen them with a sharpening stone.
