The Okatsune shears are very pleasant to use. You will notice that trimming your hedge with precision is very easy. Thanks to the handles made of Japanese white oak, a wood known for absorbing vibrations, trimming will be a very enjoyable experience. The combination of 175 mm blades and 300 mm handles ensures perfect balance and sufficient strength for trimming hedges and pruning shrubs.
The blades of these Japanese shears (Karikomi Basami) are forged from Izumo Yasugi steel and have a very high hardness of 60.0 to 61.0 on the Rockwell scale. As a result, the blades stay sharp longer and always provide a precise and clean cut through wood effortlessly. Additionally, Okatsune combines hardness with special flexibility, ensuring that the blade remains aligned with the counter blade even after heavy use.
The blades are easily sharpened with a sharpening stone.
