The hatchet is hand-forged from Swedish quality steel at the Hults Bruk forge. The forge's tradition dates back to 1697. The hatchet is named after nearby Lake Ågelsjön, where water was once drawn to turn the forge's waterwheel. Take good care of your hatchet and it will remain a faithful companion for many years to come. Thanks to the quality and craftsmanship of this axe, we offer a lifetime warranty on the axe head.
Forged from high-carbon steel, the axe head is robust. Its cutting edge is hardened to maintain its sharpness and strength, while remaining easy to sharpen. Hultafors axes are renowned for their reliability, and come with a lifetime warranty on Premium model heads.
American hickory wood is chosen for the handle of this axe, renowned for its excellent shock absorption without the risk of breakage. It's an ideal material for axes and hammers, offering a comfortable grip and great strength.
The axe heads in the Premium collection are made in the same way as those in the Agdor range, but with an extra touch of handcrafted quality. After forging, each head is hand-finished by experienced craftsmen, guaranteeing precise geometry and optimum hardness. The sharpening process is particularly eye-catching, with a mirror-like polish and a fearsome cutting edge straight from the forge!
